The Sevloy Residence | Coomera
Commanding a premier position overlooking the Coomera River, the Sevloy Residence is a masterclass in modern, masculine-leaning architecture. Designed for the Sevloy Family, this home balances a "stealth" geometric exterior with the expansive, light-filled warmth required for high-end Gold Coast waterfront living.
The Design Vision
The architectural narrative of the Sevloy Residence centers on "The Power of the Void." By utilizing bold, cantilevered rooflines and a sophisticated monochromatic palette, the home creates a striking, fortress-like presence from the street that opens into a transparent sanctuary once inside.
Stealth-Inspired Facade: Sharp, angular planes and deep recessed gables provide passive solar protection while creating a cinematic, modern silhouette.
Coomera River Connection: The rear elevation is defined by floor-to-ceiling glazing, offering the Sevloy Family 180-degree views of the water and a seamless transition to the outdoors.
Refined Industrial Palette: A blend of raw concrete textures, matte black steel, and warm timber accents ensures the interior feels powerful yet incredibly welcoming.
World-Class Alfresco: An infinity-edge pool and integrated terrace are positioned to mirror the river’s surface, creating the ultimate space for waterfront entertaining.
The Amores Approach
At Amores, we thrive on translating a family’s unique personality into a structural landmark. For the Sevloy project, our team navigated complex Gold Coast City Council waterfront regulations and high-level structural engineering to bring these ambitious cantilevers to life. The result is a bespoke residence that is as functionally brilliant as it is undeniably stylish.
"Designing for the Sevloy Family allowed us to push the boundaries of 'Stealth Modernism.' We wanted to create a home that felt grounded and private, yet completely open to the beauty of the Coomera River." — Allan Amores
