The Yeronga Organic Minimalist Duplex
Sculptural Modernism in Brisbane’s Premier River Pocket
Located in the leafy, prestigious suburb of Yeronga, Brisbane, this modern duplex is a masterclass in organic minimalism. Moving away from traditional box-like structures, the design utilizes curvilinear geometry and vertical timber battening to create a residence that is both a private sanctuary and a piece of street-side art.
The Design Vision
The architectural narrative of this Yeronga project centers on "fluidity." By integrating unique, custom-cut organic apertures into the facade, the building allows for framed views and natural light penetration while maintaining absolute privacy for both dwellings.
Vertical Timber Artistry: Precision-aligned timber battens provide a warm, textured skin that softens the bold architectural lines.
Biomorphic Windows: Signature "amoeba" style windows break the vertical rhythm, offering a striking visual anchor that defines the Amores aesthetic.
Modern Material Palette: A sophisticated mix of raw concrete textures, warm wood tones, and expansive glazing designed for the Brisbane climate.
Discreet Luxury: Integrated garage entries and minimalist landscaping ensure the focus remains on the home's sculptural silhouette.
Innovative Urban Infill
Developing a high-end duplex in a high-demand area like Yeronga requires a delicate balance of density and luxury. At Amores, we specialized in maximizing the site's potential through clever spatial planning, ensuring each unit feels like a detached, bespoke home. This project showcases our commitment to council-ready, sustainable design that doesn't compromise on bold, innovative form.
"With the Yeronga Duplex, we wanted to challenge the status quo of multi-residential design. It’s about creating a living space that feels like a singular, hand-crafted sculpture." — Allan Amores
